The basics

Who can commission RS Professional?
Primarily local authorities, under their duty to arrange provision in Section F of an EHCP or under Section 19 of the Education Act 1996. We also work directly with academy trusts and, occasionally, with families where a personal budget has been agreed.
Do you cover the whole of England?
Yes. Our face-to-face tuition is delivered across London, the South East, the Midlands and the North West. Online delivery is available UK-wide, and we work with LAs elsewhere on request.
Which age range do you serve?
From 0 to 25. Our Early Years work supports children with an EHCP or under assessment; our Post-16 offer includes preparation for adulthood, Functional Skills and supported access to FE.
02

Placements & matching

How quickly can you place a tutor?
Referral to first session averages seven working days, with placements agreed inside 48 hours for the majority of cases.
Can families choose the tutor?
Yes. We shortlist two or three profiles, and the family — with the LA — chooses. The chosen tutor completes an unpaid introductory visit before tuition begins.
What happens if the placement isn't working?
The Case Manager reviews with the family and the LA, and we replace the tutor without invoicing for the transition. This is very rare — but it is a right, not a favour.
03

Compliance & safeguarding

Are your tutors DBS-checked?
Every tutor on our register holds an Enhanced DBS with barred-list check, monitored on the Update Service and refreshed annually.
Are you Ofsted-registered?
Yes, for our associated tuition centre. Our home-tuition service operates under our LA framework agreements and reports into your MASH team on any safeguarding concern.
What safeguarding training do tutors complete?
Level 2 minimum on entry, refreshed annually, with Level 3 available to lead practitioners. All tutors also complete Prevent duty training.
Where can I read your policies?
Our full compliance pack (safeguarding, GDPR, health & safety, EDI, complaints) is available on request via our Contact page or your framework portal.
04

Reporting & delivery

What reporting will we receive?
Weekly session logs, termly progress reports against Section E outcomes, and a written contribution to the annual review. Reports can be uploaded to your LA MIS on request.
Do you deliver online tuition?
Yes, through a safeguarded, monitored platform with recording available where consented. Online is offered where geography, health or safeguarding make home delivery inappropriate.
Can you coordinate exam access arrangements?
Yes. We document evidence of need, liaise with the home school or exam centre, and, where appropriate, deliver exams under our own centre arrangements.
